Here it is, Monday night on my 70th birthday and it's just me and Bern and Bela.
Our house was full for several days with children and grand-daughters and daughter and son in law and joy and wonder.
It was all so full of life. And now it is over.
Mimi and Ellie left to go to Brooklyn this afternoon. Everyone else left yesterday--Josh and Cathy and their 3 girls to Baltimore and Tim with our friends from New Haven to the train because he had to work today.
Deep breath. Let it out.
How blessed we are by Josh and Mimi and their wondrous mates and our 4 (count em) grand girls.
How blessed to be 70 and know it all turned out just right.
I know what a blessing that is.
Truly.
Blessed.

About Me
- Under The Castor Oil Tree
- some ponderings by an aging white man who is an Episcopal priest in Connecticut. Now retired but still working and still wondering what it all means...all of it.
