Australian poppies

These lovely yellow/orange flowers come up in our front yard every year.

I love them.

But I didn't know their name until today.

Bern told me they were Australian poppies.

"But they're not 'real' poppies," she added.

Since I wouldn't know a real poppy from a fake one, I didn't respond.

But the flowers are beautiful.

Whatever they are.
