this is the mildest January day I remember

Today was in the low 50's in Cheshire.

Is this global warming?

The mid-west and South certainly isn't experiencing what we in New England are experiencing.

Snow and Cold in Texas is sever.

Maybe God is just being gentle with Blue states.

That would be joyful to believe!

Maybe God is on our side....

Have you ever read David Rosenfelt mysteries?

I can't get enough of them!

The main character is Andy Carpenter, a lawyer in Patterson N.J. who helps run a dog rescue organization called the Tara Project. Tara is one of his dogs.

He is independently wealthy--due to inheritance and some high paying cases--and keeps a staff though he always wants to stop being in court.

If you like dogs and mysteries and quirky characters, you'll love David Rosenfelt novels.

Check them out.

computer woes

A friend called the other day to tell me my computer had been hacked and he got an email from my address asking him to buy gifts for people.

Then today, when I went to look at my email, I couldn't access it.

Bern and I (mostly Bern) worked with AOL for an hour or so and got it back.

But I had 130 notices that they couldn't deliver my emails--emailDeamon, I think it's called.

I erased them all though I notice some of them were to people I know.

    Maybe I'm not hacked anymore.

    But who knows?

The god of email, I suppose.

The difference between me and Brigit

Brigit is our dog, adopted a couple of years ago. She is part pointer.

The big difference is I'm a human and Brigit is a dog.

Nuf said about that.

But another difference is that I don't think Brigit knows she will die.

I do know that.

I'm 75.

My father lived until 83.

I'll take that--or more.

But, to my knowledge, Brigit has no idea she will die.

It all seems eternal to her.

She's in her forever home and thinks it's forever.

Would it be better if we humans didn't know we would die and death comes as a big surprise?

I'm not sure.

I'm really not.

What do you think?

Secret documents

First the former President.

Then the current President.

Now the former Vice-President.

What is so secret about these documents?

And why aren't they where they should be?

What's up with all this?

Are there enough questions to ask?

Maybe not.

Who knows?

I love questions but this is too full of them....

Secret from whom?

How will we ever know?

Enough questions.

No one was in the office

My  allergist of 20 some years retired.

I know I'm getting old--my dentist, my doctor and my allergist all retired in the last year or so.

I called about my records so I could send or take them to a new allergist I have an appointment with this week.

Someone called back and said they would be in the office from 10 until 4 each day this week.

So I drove to Waterbury today and no one was in the office.

I called from outside the locked door and whined and complained.

(In case you don't know it: I can whine and complain like a professional Whiner/Complainer!)

I left a message and haven't yet heard back.

I need those records so the new allergist can keep my prescriptions   coming and schedule me for the every two week Zolair shots that have, quite frankly, changed my life and health.

I'll wait until tomorrow afternoon and if I don't hear from them by then I'll whine and complain some more....

Bill Maher told it all

I don't know if you watch Bill Maher or not but I do on YouTube and love his comedy.

He did an eight minute 'New Rule' on George Santos which you should look up on YouTube.

Never in my memory--or perhaps in history--has such a liar been in the congress.

I can't imagine a worse scenario for Republicans that his mere presence among them.

Who is this guy--who makes up his life--anyway?

Will we ever know?

About Me
